Microlearning

As technology continues to advance, instructional designers can benefit by creating microlearning experiences that can fit into even the busiest of schedules. Microlearning is focused content that is delivered in short bursts to help learners achieve a specific objective, (Tipton, 2022). Microlearning is designed to give the user the exact information they are looking for, which leads to a stress-free way of learning, (Jomah et al, 2016). One micro learning experience that I have created is a training video on fire drill protocols intended as a yearly training for k-12 teachers. The video is only 1 minute in length and covers the major fire drill protocols that teachers need to know. Teachers will be introduced to the training, watch the training video, and then complete a short quiz assessing their knowledge gained. The visual agenda and training plan can be found here:
